OUR STORY

We are so excited to share that we are officially approved to adopt from Bulgaria! Our adoption journey officially began in 2022, but the call on our hearts to adoption began much further back. It's been so evident to us since we were married in 2018 that God was preparing us for the great joy and responsibility of bringing a child into our family through international adoption, and He led us to Bulgaria. Now, nearly every day, we stop to think about the fact that there is a child out there — one we don't even know yet — who will one day make his/her home in our hearts. It's wild and beautiful, filled with every emotion you can imagine. We fully believe that with the great challenge of adoption, it will also bring an immeasurable amount of happiness to our hearts and our home. We are already praying for the child the Lord places in our care through adoption, and we are so expectant for how this will reveal a deeper love inside of us than we have ever known. God has not forgotten the child we hope to adopt, just as He has never forgotten us. He is with us every step of the way, guiding and sustaining us. And as we trust in Him and follow His leading, we can know that He will bring about His perfect plan for that child's life and our family. So, what's next from here? As we get closer to bringing our child home, our hope is that our community will commit to this child with us, even before we know their name—commit in prayer, commit in love, and if so called, commit financially in small ways to help bring our child home. Would you consider donating as we begin this process? We would appreciate your willingness to share this with others who may want to participate if you feel led. Every gift, big or small, will make a difference in having one less orphan in the world, and we would be so appreciative of your love and support. We are believing big things for the life of this child and the way God will work through the entire process of uniting our family someday soon. With love, the Kiersteads
